well as long as Vietnam would'nt let Singapore to have any header then we r safe. Calisto also need 2 deal with Singapore well-organised defence, it would take more effort and sharpness from vietnam striker to bring them down

also very aware of corner kick as well as free kick.

Vietnam may be stronger players, but you never know that they will win the game. Just don't under estimated the opponents. There is always a bad day where the shot never enter the goal.

Well first reason, Singagore U23 team is younger than Vietnam U23 team -> the vietnamese has more experience.

The second, the coachs Sing' team is not to compare with Calisto. A coach is very importen, when two teams are same good.

The third reason, Sing' team is famous with their easy but efficient strategy. So they play high ball, and because of their physical advantage (taller, stronger than other teams in ASEAN) this stragtegy will be very dangerous for other teams in ASEAN. In contrast vietnamese U23 Team is normaly much smaller. i.e. the capitan Thanh Luong is just 1m62 tall, the forward Dinh Tung is only 1m64, Tien Dung is 1m66,... So wenn we see these number, it is very difficult for Vietnam against Singapore like in the past.

But this time everything is changed smile

. The vietnamese defense is more bigger than other time in past, especialy the goalkeeper smile

. We have the defense like below:

So you can see, we have no problem with high ball anymore. I willn't say that U23 vietnam dont have difficulty with U23 Sing. But U23 Vietnam will win against U23 Singapore without any big problem. Lao, see you in final.

Respectfully, i suggest Sing and Malay will be against each other to gain the third place.

Laos, the little boy, have just written their name on the new page of ASEAN football history, and they are not planning to stop there. To be honest, im a Vietnamese, but i love watching Laos's performance than Viet's. And by the way, I love Anfred Ridle more than Calisto. Ridle is a perfect choice for coaching while Calisto is so good at finding new talented football players. Hope they will work together in the future for Vietnam national team.

Sing, not the one to be bullied, but im pretty sure, their coach is mentally ill. Why? coz when they already had a place in the semi-final didnt matter win, tie, or lose, their coach shoulda give more chance to other players to get experience, but as u saw how they played in the match with Laos...

Malaysia, just like Laos, they made a surprise. However, they won because Thai played subjectively after 81mins dominated the game. Malay will have a hard time play against Laos in the semi-final. 50-50 chance for each team.

Vietnam - Laos in the final. Laos team plays better than Viet team does til now, but Viet team is always on top of Asean football. Im happy with whoever wins, we are brothers, we share the championship.

Hi, nice to see all of you, again. So busy with the exam, but I think the love of football will make us can't stop that.

Semi-final is coming. Lao-Malaysia: let those country analyze themselve,hihi . Hope they can get good match (ofcourse, I'm vietnamese, so I want Lao can get to the final).

About Singapore vs Vietnam, I just give my thinking..

_ U23 Singapore players are so young and don't have much experience. But they have good techniques and always follow tatic of coach. Ofcourse, Singapore players are taller more than Vietnamese player (>= 1m77 - when Vietnamese player lest than 1m75, except goalkeeper Tan Truong and 2 CD)

_ Vietnamese player is young, too. But they have alot of experience. Some of them is still in nation team and another got the league, too.

_ Singapore tatic: high cross ball and then kick/head.
Advantages: with heigh > 1m77, they will be dangerous in air, special with Asean. 2 wings is good and defender is so strong.
Disadvantages: what happen if 2 wings will be stopped by "Hard fight" defender and the 1m88 goal keeper with 1m80 and 1m85 CDs from Vietnam did a great job? Oh..

_ Vietnam tatic: low,fast and "hard fight";. I think it kind of mix from: latin and italy.
Advantages: have alot of ways to attack, make suprise when need.
Disadvantages: Striker is not good as before (Cong Vinh, Viet Thang..). Phan Thanh Binh or Dinh Tung is just kind of virtual target. The real dangerous is midfielder with Thanh Luong,Trong Hoang..( good news for Singapore player: Trong Hoang got injuries from last match - so you don't need to face with most dangerous man in vietnam any more).

Oh, one more thing. Vietnam is master of counter-attack. Maybe it so they still forgot how to play..total-attack. Oh..hihi

In singapore side, I don't know what they can change, let singapore analyze it. I will give my personal opinion about Vietnam:

+ With Trong Hoang injuries and pratice like those days, I think coach Calisto will let :

_ Dinh Tung (small player, he just tall as me, hihi): He will be only real striker. Great techniques, fast and dangerous , he will be player for strong defender of Singapore.

_ Phan Thanh Binh (strong, really strong): step back to be Left-Attacking-Midfielder like Cong Vinh before. He can't compare with Cong Vinh, but he still strong and smart. With him in left, defender of Singapore will be suprise because they just think him is striker. And when time need, he will be second striker besind Dinh Tung or Tien Thanh.

_ Mai Tien Thanh : that kind of strong and fast player, with 4 goal in 3 match. But in this match he will be center-midfielder and virtual foward. So the ways of attack will have alot.

_ Thanh Luong - the captain: he is most dangerous player in Vietnam after Trong Hoang injuries. He can play left or right side. So, he and the real wings player of Vietnam can change their side when need (right to left, left to right..). And he can make suprise when not in right or left but run in middle. Singapore defender will have tight day with him.

But it just my analyze. In match, every thing can be diffirent. Just hope 2 team will have a great match.

Oh, if 2 team can find a winner in 90 mins, I think there will be penalty. And as Banana (a fan of Thailand) said before : Vietnam is penalty team. I think he is true in some means. Because U23 Vietnam player has more experience than U23 Singapore, and with may be 20000-30000 fan will comes, well..

Anyways, I think it will be great game for us to see. As a Vietnamese, I will not say "Vietnam sou sou" or "Vietnam champion" or anything else like it. I just say one word again and again in match, one word with all my heart, my blood: "Vietnam! Vietnam! Vietnam!"...

Psychologically, Malay probably has an edge over Laos (they just beat Thailand), but Laos has home game advantage which can make a difference. If Laos can play good, tight, man-on-man defense, they will win. otherwise, the Malaysians have an edge.

if you look back to those games in the frst round that Singapore played, you'll see the Kallang team was as good as other teams in the group, nothing particularly stood out about them. yet, Thailand, Malay, & Indo did impress me.

Come on, actually, she loves football, let's make our view more colourful. Even though NA want to 'cua trai' or not, I will be side with u biggrin (just a joke)

It's really a loss of VN if (99%) Tr.Hoang can't play any more, but in my viewpoint, Sing. doesn't have special things, VN has more advantages and the issue is that if we can use it or not. My prediction: VN-Sing: 2-0

About Malays-Laos, according to what happened in this SG, it's quite hard to predict, can't estimate the result but Malays won't have an easy game ..

The final: VN-Malays

Just base on the calculation + hope = VN: CHAMPION aww

My prediction was wrong at the first place. I should not underestimate the Malay team.

The strong Thailand was just out. The second should be Vietnam. Vietnam should be kick-ass-off. I don't want to see Vietnam as Champion. Why? It is too boring to see the strong team win! But I also accept the fact that they are the strong team now.

It was very ashamed to watch match between Laos vs Singapore. I don't support them either. They are not the real sporters. They cheated.

Malay should be champion. If not, Vietnam should be the second choice.

I VOTE for MALAY.

Malaysia: Malaysia have prepared alot for this 25th edition SEA games. I always think that they deserve to get somthing from this competition. Perphaps, a medal. This team played against Singapore U-23, Indonesia U-23, Kenya, China U-23, Man U, Saudi, Jordan, Lesotho and UAE. They have only lost to Man U, UAE and Saudi. When the top striker Zaquan join Fakri and Norshahrul return, it will be difficult for Laos defence to stop them.

Laos: They have home support. They played offensive very well. With the attacking triple of L.Singto, Kampheng Sayyavutthi and Kitsada, it will be difficult or any team to stop them. Before this sea games, they have won the pre-sea games, participated in the BIDC Cup in Phnom Penh. They also lend their support from Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) in helping themselves to training.

Both team have alot of preparation for this Sea games. Both team don't deserve to lose. But there can onli be one winner.

Actually, he was injured, there isn't any trick (it's just a saying of the title) but now, it seems that it's not very grave, the possibility of his present in the last match is still there.

@Baosheng: When the top striker Zaquan join Fakri and Norshahrul return, it will be difficult for Laos defence to stop them.

From some information, Zaquan can't play in the semi-final match but in the last match because of the eyes problem.

After going through all analyses, It all boils down to the "heart" of the players during the match itself. The team with more desire to win and the guts to grab victory with both heart and soul will emerge victorious. ASEAN football has always been about guts and always will be. It's simply us, simply ASEAN. ASEAN forever. We are after all, one people.

But Singapore has improved quite much since their last match lost to VN in VFF smartdoor cup. It will be a very difficult match for both VN and Singapore ...

According to the performance of two teams in the first half, we can see that the Singaporean boys are playing a counter-attack game. They play patiently and wait for the time that the Vietnameses are so excited of attacking. The goal for Singapore came in that way.

However, the overall power and skills of Vietnameses showed a clear advantage for Vietnam. In this match, both teams have different performances than before, but I can say that Vietnam has a more diverse strategy and should be the winner.
