I created this topic because I'm so sad now, hi.. And I just want to know how alot of us become fan of football.

I creat this topic, so I will begin first with my story...

Well, the first time when I saw a football match is 15,16 years ago, when I just a little girl. My father take me to a small stadium, where he and his friend play football with another team, I can't remember which team. That time, I was so suprise when see 22 player just try to get one ball and so suprise, too when 1 man in black just only stay and see what happen. I laugh and had fun.. Linh, my little sis, never know that day because I didn't tell anything about it...

And then, the next match which I saw was Liv - Aston Villa in TV. It was a dark night, when mum and Linh go to sleep, I cook a meal for father, he went home late after work. I want to sleep, but that team, Liv, they played a very interesting game, so I was there, watch them with father. He is big fan of Liv. ( Linh like MU because of it too. My father and I just love Liv, so Mum and Linh want to do something, they chose MU) ..

Time is gone so fast. Oneday, father went.. forever... I never can see his face when Liv score again, I never can listen to his analazy about match(in fact, that time, I don't know what is he talking about, hihi, but it just so great).. But when see Vietnam and Liv play, I just feel like father stay behind me, look at the game with me and still, he never gone..

Christmas nearly, the days father was gone nearly, too. I don't know why but.. I still sad.. still miss father after long time.. But, I know one thing, when I'm here, be a fan of Liv and Vietnam, be amazing and loving with those football game, father is here, in my heart, in my picture of match..

.. That why I'm a fan of football.. what's about you?

oh.. and just a gif for U, my friend, my fav song..

Touching story, NgocAnhVn.

I am from Singapore. I started watching football when I was 8 years old. Every friday, I would switch on the TV just to watch the S.League, Since, I was bored and have nothing to do.

Time passes, I have conitunously watch S.league every week when the seasons starts. Singapore is small, therefore, it is very convenient for mi to travel to one stadium. However, It was only 16 years old, then I enter a football stadium to watch soccer. From 16 years onwards, I travel frequently to watch a S.league soccer match.

As I'am a Singaporean, I support my country Singapore. I often went to the Singapore National Stadium to watch Singapore Play against other countries. I often asked friends to come along with mi to support Singapore. Sadly, most of them rejected mi, because they say that watching Singapore play is boring. Moreover, they rather watch epl. I was disappointed, but luckily, there's still 2 good friends that would accompany mi to the National Stadium and support Singapore.

Now, I am 20 years old and have been supporting Singapore for 12 years.
Asean Cheers..

@ BaoSheng
Hj there.
I'm viet and studying in S'pore, I understand your point here, what make me sad most is that I don't know what Singaporean interested in? Even EPL, not much ppl come down and cheer. One time, vietnam against singapore team, we go to tv room to catch the match, while all viet can't miss any mins from the match, some of sing students were in tv room too and ... playing cards, they barely look at the tv. I said to myself " what the hell is going on, why don't they support for their country "

Back to the match in AFF 2008 in Sing National Stadium, I think viet fan did teach you singaporeans a lesson how to cheer and chant, not by the way of speaking taboo words.

Christmas is also a gloomy memory to me, in Christmas 2001 my best friend got an accident, never to return... He was just walking in the side of the street while a gang of crazy bike racers lost their control of their bike can ran into him... I had a feeling of hatred to the illegal motorbike racing from that day onwards.

Back to football. I first played football when I was 9 years old, at the grade of 3 I guess. I was a good goal keeper and this continue during my days at high school, when I played as the goal keeper for my high school football team. Anyway, in my class, I will be rewarded with the position of forward, I'm not surprisingly fast but lethal, I believe (just for amateur football).

I first watched Viet Nam team when they really showed some signs of return to the regional playground in the SEA Games of 1995 when Viet Nam was the runner up. It was not until then that I realized how Vietnamese have a deep root of love in football flowing in their blood, planted in their heart.

I like Liverpool during the days of Gerard Houllier, Manchester of the hard trick in 1999, and Barcelona during the days of Ronaldinho's high performance.

I hate MU when I saw the face of CR7 in the team, and hate Arsenal to have Patrick Viera there...but now it's over, I quite like the philosophy of Arsenal: playing beatiful football with young players trained from their football academy.

My love for football love started at the age of 7 or 8 when my dad took me to Lach Tray stadium during the match between CA Haiphong vs CA Hanoi ( at that time V-league still somewhere far far away in the future!(^^). i witnessed the craziness from the fan (craziness in a good term!) and that's how my interest for football started. even now resides in London and come to watch Arsenal play every week but still come and support Xi Mang Hai Phong as well as Vietnam when i have a chance from my holiday break!

One time my ex-girl friend asked me "what is football? why everybody so crazy about football and why Vietnam does not attend in Germany WC 2006???" well, as you guess, I was speechless !

My mum said I was born with a ball in my arms...

Seriously though.. It all started when I was 6. Singapore played in the Malaysian League back then and there was fanatical support for the national team. I also started playing football around that age.. I injured my knee when I was 17 and stopped playing football in the S-League then in 1998.

You know what they say though... that you can break a man but not his spirit and his heart. My love for football never stopped and I'm looking to kick a ball again real soon after 11 years of not playing...

Oh and I support Man Utd since the days of Bryan Robson .... that's how I know me and Ngoc Anh can never be together..

Jus kidding about that one though..

Cheers all... Go ASEAN!
