The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.

Wow many beautiful destinations from our SEA region. Amazing landscape from Philippines and Malaysia. I hope to visit there soon. First, let me say Hi, i'm Cambodian student in Paris. i already visited Singapore, southern Vietnam and Thailand, and hope to see all the rest soon.
You won't disapointed, Angkor Wat is an amazing temple, but besides Angkor wat there are hundred of other temples in Siem Reap, especially Bayon (4 faced-temple) and Ta Prohm ( temple covered by roots of larges silk-cotton trees, is a location of the first Tomb Raider Film)
I hope the AEAN Community can develop into something like European Union (UE) where all the members can travel from one country to another freely (no visa needed, no control in the border, same currency Euro)

Oh yeah I know about Ta Phrom.. we can travel around ASEAN without a visa (save for Myanmar. A regional currency is still too far off though..
Let me bid you good night with another Mt. Pulag Photo:
Panorama View of Bangkok (I resize this pic because it was too wide)

Nice photos of Bangkok, but what you said about no slums in Bangkok is not true, because I have seen the slums there. It's nice to talk about the beauty of our countries but let us also not mislead travelers about wrong information. There are slums in Manila as well as everywhere in Asia, except perhaps Singapore. Though they may not call it slums, I think the water Village in Bandar Seri Begawan is a slum too. I went there this July.
Everybody know that and Saigon 's the common name. HCMC? Alright, it's just the name on paper and immigrant also used to call Saigon. That's all.
I prefer to call Saigon, so it's my feeling. No need to complain abt it, my dear ^^
Well...I didn't complain about what u called OUR city. I'm juz afraid that foreigners may be confused about 2 cities in Vietnam (coz once my foreign friend asked me that he heard the name Saigon but he didn't see that city on the map ^^) Anyway, no matter what the name is we still love OUR city, rite? :)

Why not? It's my hometown, so I must love it. I don't know the other, but I really love it because my family lived before French built a city.
Really? poor them. All friends of mine know the common name of HCMC 's Saigon and they think it's the nice name and easy to remember. btw, I think that we should continue to show the beauty of Saigon because I scare that I'll talk so far the control.

Yah... my friend is Taiwanese and he doesn't know about that...poor him (maybe) ^^
Ok. I got it... I can guess a lit bit about the reason why u dont like that name now..
Back to the beauty of Vietnam... I'd like to introduce Nha Trang city (for everyone who loves beach like me :X Although I dunno how to swim =.= poor me...)

Thanks for your comment :P Actually, there are some slums in Bangkok but not in metropolitan area. The Thai government tries to remove slums from the central area by build condominiums or apartments instead.
When did you visit to Bangkok ? If I have a chance, I will visit Manila too.

Been there (BKK) July 2006. Manila has a squatter problem too, but the business district is okay. A lot of the slum dwellers were relocated slowly. There are a lot of high rises rising in Manila now :)
Hey guys, dont fight about the names. HCMC or Saigon it's the same city, but great photos! Keep them coming, I will posts more later about the Philippines,
Thanks for ur advice. We have already stopped to talk abt it. Btw, wait to see ur photos abt the Philippines.

pare, pinoy ka nga talaga. .

Yah. Thank you. We didn't fight :P Vietnamese love each other. Hihi :)

Batanes looks so peaceful. I really like it :X
I really love Batanes too, it is just a little expensive to get there even if you come from Manila. I think I spent almost 1,000 USD for my trip there. But yeah, good for you guys, I can't say the same for some Filipinos like the poster above named Criminal. He is a stupid guy who never have any love for his own country, It is sad because we have a lot of ignorant people like him in the Philippines. Moving on, I hope I can go back to Batanes again.... sigh that place is very simple, really beautiful and yes it is very peaceful with zero crime and people leave their houses with their doors unlocked! :)
Awww... Let me know how I can help you to get around. I got heaps of contacts for tours around Manila as well. For more info you can visit the site where I write. It's a free travel guide site. http://tourism-philippines.com:)
Khun BamBoo ka ^^ I want to see more pics from Pattaya, Chaing Mai, Korat and some islands in the south.
