Sorry from a Vietnamese fan
Permalink

Hi Asean Friends,

I'm a Vietnamese and I'm a crazy football fan.

First of all, I'd like to congratulate Malaysia Team for the winning. I've followed this forum since the football tournament started and felt really happy with your friendliness so far.

But today, after the final match finished, I'm feeling ashamed for *some* of Vietnamese fans here and in my country who don't know how to loose politely. Burning Malaysian flag, honking in front of Thai restaurants and saying bad/racist words are behaviors of uneducated (and, sorry low-level) people, we couldn't believe it happened here and in Vietnam today.

However, I want to tell you all, Asean friends, THESE UNEDUCATED ACTIONS WERE ONLY FROM UNEDUCATED PEOPLE, not all of us.

I was with my friends cheering in a restaurant last night, if there was any Malaysian there, we would shake his hand and congratulate him like an Singaporean did to us on the day we defeated his team.

To Vietnamese fans, being polite and learning how to loose, we will be back.

Love you all.

Thanks and goodbye.

Deep in my heart, I know long times ago Vietnamese are polite
people.

Those actions had been done by SOME UNEDUCATED, LOW-CLASS gangs only.
I Understand and never blame Vietnamese as a whole.

Cheers up. At least many people understand.

You are right. Vietnamese people are generally very friendly and polite. Those actions are just results from some uneducated people. We cannot blame the entire Vietnam for that. Pity a lot of people in this forum still cannot understand that concept.

I agree

Someone see bad things of 1 or 2 men then conclude their country is like that, too

In Vietnam...there are many good and nice peoples.....

In Malaysia....there are many good and nice peoples....

Same goes to in Thai, Singapore, Indo, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Filipine, Timor, Brunei

In ASEAN coutries.....majority are good and nice peoples....

But....somehow....there stil some bad and nasty peoples out there....and this minority does not represent the country...because they are minority.....

SEA games unite us together...peace from Malaysia
biggrin

To thread starter, dun worry about it and you don't actually have to apologise actually since you have done nothing wrong personally. In fact, your post deserve praise as it promotes the right attitude to be shown in this forum.

For football, i understand you guys are sure to be very disappointed, but you all do not have to, Vietnam are still the current AFF Cup holder. I am sure they will still be competitive in ASEAN for the next few years at least.

But rest assure, Thailand,Singapore,Malaysia n possibly Indonesia will be back again next yr in the AFF Cup ;)

Hi Asean,
I'm Vietnamese. And I've been joining this forum since 25th Seagames started. :)

First of all, let me send my appreciation to admin who made this forum to let us have chance to be together. aww

Second, I'd like to thank all my Asean friends who spend their time everyday to share with me their ideas, their feelings, information,knowledge... I consider this forum as a Big Home in which the Asean family is growing...

So we are the family... And if some of us make mistakes, the family will generously forgive us and never leave us...rite? :)

Deep in my heart, I always love Asean... Let me tell u something...maybe they would be my last things in this forum...

I'm sad...because some topics like this do not get many attentions...

I'm so sad...because some topics for which we are fighting, hurting each other attract too much attentions... (the number of views usually came up to thousands)

I hope some conflicts will not separate our long-last relationship...

I hope some hasty elements' actions will not ruin the country image which have been being built for many years...

I hope Asean will constantly live in peace... no more fighting...

Time for us to say goodbye...

Take care my friends.

Feel sorry too. We lost friendship, and we lost ourselves
Maybe sometime, some of us Vnmese (includes me) did or said something bad about your country/ppl, but, it's a small group of people or just a transient emotion, and i really regret about that.
Nonetheless, my feeling about asean country's possessive. I wish some day ASEAN becomes like EU and we're all truly friends.
