Very good improvement for Vietnam indeed. It is actually good that a lot of countries get better so that the competitions are tougher- makes for better ASEAN athletes.:)

I'm happy about improvement of my country, development in economy, living standard, sport.

But I will be glad if others country in our ASEAN region develop too. As your idea, the competitions are tougher, so athletes must try practice more, to get the medal. It is useful, our athletes will up level, reach Asian games and olympic. Our ASEAN will quit the name "hollow region of world", people from others region will admire our ASEAN. Actually, development must be constructed in friendship, respect , helping together. wink

Yah with population ranked 2nd or 3rd in the region, vietnam has to be in the top 4. However, vietnam did not participate or train at all during the late of the vietnam war all the way through 1989. Since 1969 fierce fighting to 1975. Then the backward development of the new goverment even ruined vietnam more. If you think 20 years from 1969 to 1989, thats 20 years. In those 20 years vietnam stayed at the same level, where as other countries improved. So by now 2009, in 20 years, if everyone was still moving, vietnam would have bêen 20 years late. However, Vietnam have been in the top 3 for a decade shows that Vietnam truly is Vietnam. Vietnamese with GDP of a little 1000 dollars is half of Thailand and 1/40th of Singapore still be able to be one of the heavy contenders of the region. So i have to say i am of vietnamese, cause they have to stretch their muscle to the strongest in order to catch ụp. Giving Vietnam 10 more years, Vietnam surely will overtake Thailand in the region and be a major power in Asian Games. CAuse vietnamese are truly vietnamese.

and football.

for Football, my comment is that
Your team lacks Superstar
every players get an average 7, 8 from 10 points.
There is no 9, or 10.
Over expectations cause you to play the ball under pressure,
If you replaced the goal keeper because of his injury,
the games may end on 0-0 and then try your luck on Penalty kicks.

Do not expect another years to win,
The Sin will import more players (I believe)
The Thai will pick up players who are fit for the game,
not picking his boys who are in his team, Thai league.....etc

right or wrong,
I feel sorry for you that VN cannot make it ...Gold Medal.

As in Thailand, When Football lose, seems the Seagames is over
for many Thai fans.

In Vietnam as well. Soccer is like a religion in Vietnam. When we lose a soccer match it is like the world about to end but after few days everything will be back to normal. After i heard Vietnam lose to Malaysia i cannot believe it because Vietnam should beat Malaysia. But hey that is Soccer anything can happen and Vietnam is progressing a lot.
