Vietnam will win the total medals
Permalink

Because Vietnam is very strong in Finswiming(11),Wrestling(13),Wushu(17). ((x)= medals  leftover).

They can get more than 30 golds from these sports of the rest of competition.
The biggest sport that  Thailand will has advantage is only Boxing  (5-6 medals)
For other sports, Thailand and Vietnam will have only a little bit difference for  the rest of competition.

Do you agree with this?
Please give your opinion or your prediction.
Thank you.

If VN is champion of Gold medals from that kind of sports
,let them be champ. I don't care.

I don't feel good hearing this. For Thailand, you might well be proud of Muay but some of us even don't know what's so good of Muay. I hope you understand what I mean.

Sirs..  Muay or Muay Thai ..you may not know quite well but if you ask people from thailand , laos , cambodia , myanmar , They all play Muay ..

What about Finswiming(11) ????? (13),Wushu  ????????
What country  play those sports >????????

Frankly speaking ,if Viet won total medal... I don't mind....better focus on international sports that can develope to OLYMPICS ..

winkwink

I hear your grievances and sympathize with the Thais for what you have to go through this year. It is unjustifiable and unacceptable for Thailand to be defeated in football, ranked lesser medals than neighboring countries and cheated by the host country by eliminated certain sports. Please accept my condolence with your loss. If that is not enough, I will file a petition with the Lao government to generate more medals for Thailand – gold medals for all sport events. If you think life is fair, you are living in a fantasy world.

I thinks some of Thais grievance as you say. But for my opinion total of gold medal does't the most important objective. Example, defeated of football team make us to concentrate and look ourselves to improvement our team.

I found Vietnam team very good in develops on many sport. It's also good for us.

Because It's will drive to other country on sport development. If they needs to be number one.

Finally, I expects and cheer our team to be number one again on this time.

For the next Sea games, I thinks Indonesia will number one and Thailand Malaysia Vietnam compete for second.

Please look for the future.

I heard that after the match between Malaysia and Thailand some journalist said when the Thai team lose the seagame is over with them, so the total number of gold medal is not the most important man.

Champa: Such a stupid thought. I am SO SORRY while saying the ever worst sentences.

For us, no1, no2 or no7, it is not a problem. Of course, if we are on the top, it is highly appreciated. We are happy.

Take an eye on these figures:

Do I need to say anything more?

Everyone can see what's going on, right?

If you are still concerning about it, I am GLAD to advise you that Fin-swimming is not from VN, neither Karatedo, Taekwondo nor Shuttle ****.

Did you see that we complaint anything about Thai strength or other team's?

I'm not sure that what I'll said next will disturb someone in my country or not.

In Thailand we've always being told by the government and sport management that we don't care about the local sports in this region(except when it's Thai of course).
We've been told that only olympic's certifies sports only count.
So, the government kind of abandon most of the local sports, their support for these type of sports are really thin.
If Thailand can't be the top medal team,I think it's our fault for not took interested in these sports.
NO ONE ELSE to be blame.

Exactly Zerocool! You took the words out of my mouth. If Thai Sport Committee allows other countries to win and Thai athletes follow the orders, I do not see why the Thai people should be bitching and complaining about unfair practices. Next time, please make a request to your Thai athletes to play their best at all costs.

Thai people is less interesting in seagames day by day since you guy put more value on the medal count instead of improving more on international sport.

and sure, the games becomes more the nationalism tool more than of being the real spisit of the games..

poor seagames and asean.

poor seagames and asean.

20 years ago, the world had blamed China when they focus on ping pong, gymnastic but look what they have now.

Have you ever read "the fox and the grapes" by easop ? I think you're exactly the same.

If you don't want to take part in those sports, why sending athletes ? Just to waste money ?

Don't say something is not important when you can't achieve it. It's okay if you are on top of the leader board and say "Ah, this sport is BS", but when you can't, just stay calm.

Besides, if everybody and everycountry acted like you think, Muay Thai couldn't been so developed, since it's "not an olympic sport".

Okay, Thai ppl is less interestin in the seagames, so don't come here but stay at home. But since you've came, I hope you'll do your best to make a better seagames rather than sayin' :"This is BS, it's not worth for us to come".

Look at Philipines and Brunei, they did not send football teams to participated. I think it's better than hearin Timor Leste say "Awn, Seagames is for noobs, we're so sorry that we competited".

I didn't say that Fin-Swimming is a good or bad sport.

I said that Vietnam had  the great chance to win this competition on yesterday as           my prediction on yesterday. (yesterday Vietnam has 6-7 golds behind Thailand)

And I asked everyone. "Do you agree? (Vietnam will win the competition)"

We will see if Vietnam or Thailand will take more gold medals. But I think my country can achieve the goal of 36 gold medals (or just 1 more compared to Thailand) in a good mood. :D

About local sport and international sport: do you know Taekwondo, Wushu, Judo... are local sports first and now are Olympic sports?

Vietnam is developing Vovinam that way, and we have a belief that your countries are doing so. The problem is how.

I hope you won't be so critical and underestimate your "local sports", because who know some day it will be Olympic sports?

I estimate Thailand will has
61
+1 from Sepak-Takrow
+2 from Tennis
+1 from Petanque
+1 from Snooker
+3 or 4 from Boxing
+1 from Beach Volleyball
+1 from Badminton
+5 to 8 from Wresting,Judo,Panjaksilat,Wushu
+4 from Athetics

So I think Thailand will has 82-85 golds.

Could anyone please give an estimation of the total golds for Vietnam teams?

Congratulations to Vietnam! The Vietnamese athletes have advanced themselves to another level toppling the old champ like Thailand. The people in Vietnam will be so proud with this victory. I am sure a big celebration awaited for the athletes at home. I feel so sorry for the Lao team. I will pass them the tissues to whip their tears. Hopefully, they can overcome these defeats.

Vietnam's goal is in the top of three and it seems that we reach the target. I don't care if the first ranking for Vietnam or Thailand. If Vietnam, I will be happy. If not Vietnam, I still will be happy. If Thailand, and may be of course Thailand, I will happy too and I will say congratulation for the Thai.

One day left. Let's wait and see.

After this Sea Game, Vietnam is ready to be the new sport powerhouse of South East Asia. Thanks to their stable politics, efficient management, hard working athletes and full support from Vietnamese fans. Please stop bashing that a certain country getting the advantage from local sports. It is ridiculous. Sport is sport, no matter it is international or local. Thailand has many good and world class athletes but it is too busy dealing with the internal politics. Indonesia used to be number one in SEA sport but look at what happen to Indonesia after the economic crisis and political turmoil. This Sea Game is an invaluable lesson for Thailand to solve its internal problems and unity. Please look at yourselves before blaming others.
