I think Indonesia to be broken out this tournament because they did not have good repairing activities. They dismissed their team's coach when the opening time was closed.
Myanmar wasn't lucky. I think Laos got advantage from the scheduling of matches. I don't know why the two final matches in this group were not at the same time.

ThaiLand have a basic platform very good but they are so unlucky and they have a bad coach, their coach, in my option he is a very unsmart person, a stupid...

I think luck is not on their sides. They are better team in the long run. This is just a competition.

Sort of agreed wif u. Steve Darby should have done a better job. Not Stupid, but just that the Comunication between him and his players is not that good. That's y he couldn't instil the right tactic at the last 20 mins of the match against malaysia.

I think its clear, Thailand are no longer as dominant in this region as the previous 'golden generation' team anymore. I still believe the Thais are the best in this region in terms of technical abilities, however technical abilities alone will not win you games in international level. Besides technical abilities, tactical discipline and the mentality are important as well. Sadly, i do not see the hunger and commitment shown by the Thai players (maybe except Anawin) this time round, example of this is seeing how easily they lose out on 50-50 challenges to the Malaysians in that fateful match. Perhaps commitment is one thing Thai players can learn from their Vietnamese counterparts

However all is not doom, i hope that the FAT can use the success of the Thai League this season as a platform to enhance football in the country. I am sure if the league is run properly and remain successful, more talented players will be unearthed. All this in turns, can only be helpful to the national team.

Agree!

Thailand is still a very good team in SEA.  All they need is a good head coach and a little refreshment and they will be back.

Indonesia need to develope their young players and be better prepared for the next Seagame. It seemed like they weren't ready this time.

Myanmar has a lot of potential. Their players are young & strong.  They need to improve their technical ability as well as tactical discipline to move up to the next tier.

Laos has shown great improvement already and give
Alfred Riedl a little time, Laos team will be very good soon.

Cambodia still needs a lot of work but they're improving too. Maybe they need to have a good league for the players to compete and improve their skills.

Timor Leste has a very long way to go to compete with Asean countries at this point and i dont see how they're going to improve given their situation and small population. But kudos to them for their participation!

Phillipines needs to participate and improve their budget to develope young football players, Send them to other leagues/clubs for development. Manny Pacquiao cannot score goal for you. smile.gif

Malaysia has a good young team and they will only get better. Many of their young players will be back for the next seagames i think...

Vietnam has improved a lot the last couple of years. They have a great league (V League) and good youth development. Their U16 & U19 have played great and those kids will represent the country in the future.

Singapore team is just too young. I think their team is more like U21, but they have the size and physical ability. Again, give these kids a few yrs and they will be very good.

The last few years i have seen many positive changes in Asean football. Thai League, V League & S league are very interesting and present great opportunities for young players. Once the economies improve, countries will invest more money to develope youth and i think the future is very good for Asean.
