Thailand did their best. Steve Darby were just not tactically on plot.

I think alot of them blame steve darby. But the biggest blame has to come from Thailand. Instead of not throwing out what they are made off, they just wished to get through. I still think thailand play better football. So dont be sad. I support vietnam but i know which team is capable of winning gold. Over all thai is one heavy contender in SE soccer. Hope thailand plays more seriously next time. You guys have won 8 times, thats not a bad record at all. YOu know playing spirit is very important. Confidence is another thing. For the last 15 years on every level, even though sometimes vietnam could play better than thailand, but it was the lack of confidence and afraid of losing that lead vietnam suffered defeat for too long. Now under Calisto, he knows how to ask for each player to play as what the sport suppose to mean, is to play beauftiful, determine and smart football. he knows how to plan seeds of confidence in each player. So its not bad, my friend. Thailand can always come back and do it right next time. ON the plus side, i want more and more SE teams to improve and better faster. We need to look out to continental and world level too. And more good teams, we have better competition which is what we hope for in soccer right.
Don't be discouraged, I still think that Thai players are the strongest in the SEA region. However, the gap between Thailand and other team is being reduced, shorter than ever. Therefore, any underestimation can lead to a high cost.

That Thailand is eliminated is the chance for Vietnam. Vietnam was defeated many times in the final match in seagames by Thailand. Vietnam is the champion of AFF cup. They have capability to get gold metal. Thailand lose because they took the power on their head, specially their coach, Darby. He used a lot of high words for his team and low words for the other teams. This lost is a learning lesson for Thailand. In the past, Vietnam often get difficult when competed Singapore, but at that time, their coach war A. Riedl. Now, they have a talent coach, Henrique Calisto. Vietnam is champion!

I think Thailand is a better team, but they did not hold on tight in the last 10 minutes, where Malaysia managed to get equaliser and winning goal at 89th minute!
Don't be sad too much Thailand. I believe you can do better in the future. Now the challenge for Malaysia to continue the high spirit!
