when i'm st ill in lycee vientiane since 1969- 1978 LAOS AND SINGAPOUR ARE THE NOT SO GOOD TEAM ,, i cannot believe it that LAOS can draw with MYANMAR AND BEAT INDONESIA
SINGAPOUR BEAT MYANMAR.

I WANT LAOS TO BEAT SINGAPOUR .

Dude... Laos is showing off their improvement time after time of playing... I really hope that they would have a good result in the next match vs Singapore... anyway, Sing is the stronger team, I think!

If Laos players just play as what A.R planned, then they will be through to the next round...

1-1 is my choice of score...

to keotafreshno: I also want what you want, Laos can beat Indonesia if they play with everything they have.

Laos have a a flaming way of playing and are lead by coach Afred Riedl who used to receive European Bronze Shoes.
It will be very interesting and amazing if Laos (the host) goes to the semi-final this year. That's a worthy reward for them.
Moreover, Singapore shows that they aren't strong as many years ago with many players who are granted citizenship.

...but I predict 1-1 ^^
Hope that is an thrilling and interesting game. biggrin

Seriously, if Indonesia vs Myanmar match ended as a draw, would both teams send out their first team? Since both teams have already qualify for the sf.

0-0 1-1 2-2 3-3....Singapore is a strong football country in Asean. But, it seems that laos is on form, and plus support from its home fans. So, I think both team's common aim is to at least get a draw, the final outcome would be most likely be a draw.

Yes, Singapore is a strong footballing nation in Asean, but this is a U-23 competition. The average age of the current Singapore team is only 19.5 years old. Somemore, there is aboslutely no foreign talent in this squad. Previously, Singapore have Agu Casmir in 2007, Itimi Dickson, shi jia yi and Agu in 2005.

I agreed with your analysis that the final outcome would be a draw. =)

Yes. It has changed to the main stadium, since it can accommodate up to 20000 spectators. Unlike, the Chao Anu Vong Stadium which could only accommodate up to 10,000 spectators.

A draw will ensure both teams to qualify to the semis.... Although Laos is on home soil... It doesn't mean that the Young Lions (Team Singapore's football team nickname) will collapse under opposing team's home advantage... If u guys can recall how Singapore plays in the Senayan Stadium (capacity of 100,000 people) against Indonesia, u will know that the Young Lions r no fluke when on big match... Give them a chance to prove what n who they are... As a S'porean, I will support my beloved Team Singapore... N I beleive S'pore is also good enough to enter the semis n probably the finals....

yeah u r right. The pressure is now on Laos. Hope Singapore players are relax enough to beat Laos with ease, which will give our team Myanmar a path to semi :)

Sinagpore has already qualify.

According to SEA Games rules, the first tiebreaker for teams finishing level on points is head-to-head record, then goal difference is taken into account.

well, obviously painful to watch. Match Organiser are the ones to blame to make decisive match to very boring time wasting match.

Host country did everything (i means anything and everything) to get their team to semi. no sportmanship

In 2005 Sea game, Myanmar get into same situation. They need to beat Phillipens and rely on the fact that Thai need to beat Malaysia in the decisive matches.

Credit go to Thai, even though they were already qulified b4 the final group stage matches, they work hard to beat Malaysia and they won, but Myanmar draw with Phillipenas.

Anyway, Thai shows the SPORTMANSHIP, and the spirit of the chamipion.

I believe true Singaporean funs won't be happy with their team performance and moral..

After watching today game, i really doubt both Singapore and Laos will go past semi-final.

Look, Vietnam can't beat Cambodia more than 13,14 goal and Malay can't beat Thailand, too. so Thailand win be 1st, vietnam 2nd.
Lao is 1st of B group, so vietnam will meet Lao in semi-final. Thailand meet Singapor. A tight game for Thailand.
Sin play the simple tatic but it's working great if they play 100% their ability. Thailand will have a hard game with singapor.

well, I think vietnam will try to draw Cambodia. But if Vietnam win cambodia and Malay draw thailand. so ofcourse , Thailand will meet Laos.
But, in my thinking, just my thinking, ya.. Laos is more dangerous than Singapor. Look, they are strong spirit with many diffirent tatic can use. They are stronger than singapor, too. And their manager is old coach of vietnam. He know Thailand so much.
If Thailand meet Singapor, Sin play danger with high cross ball because they just know that tatic or just want to do that tatic. It will hard for Thailand defender 20-30 first mins. After that, with level of champion, thailand easy learn their tatic, then defeat them.
But, with Lao, thailand don't know what they can do. They are not only hot, but also strong team. Their nation team maybe weak but their U23 is really strong and danger. Don't know what can be happen in those match like this. Just waitting.

and I think Thailand is hard to get champion if can't win Malaysia.
I think so tomorrow Thai must win over Malaysia at least 2-0 to get more confidence. Thailand Fight Fight!!!
