this is a really stupid question, how can Laos even think any further, yet we can't even afford to organise and pay these sea games ourselves yet we're already thinking ahead of ourselves. I'm a laotion myself and trying to be honest.
In fact these games is not really Laos Sea Games as Laos did not even pay for any of the facilities, the location is set in Laos but the land is owned by foreigners so these games are basically not Laos. If it is really Laos Sea games then why are there huge flags of another country symbolising the facility.

Hello, dream and envision are totally different. The 'dream' is out of control and is baseless (with either optimistics or pessimistics). The 'envision' is logical and scientific vision. The Laotian leaders and elders should seed the 'envision' to young Laotians. Many times, bad leaders give faulty hopes to people (rather the facts) with hidden purpose: I can reign longer when people are day dreamers. Please wake-up and closely look at this 25th SEA Games:
-How many years have we prepared for this games?
-Can we really be able to host this games or just end-up with begging around neighbors for help when the dead-line comes closer?
-What is the real cost of the facilities? ... whom are investors? ... who will pay back and in what form?.

In short, the answer (to 'Can Laos organize Olympic games ?') is "NO

". We should not have a day dream; but should enjoy on this 25th SEA Games ... then find more facts on this SEA games.

Of course, Laos can do. But it'll be the plan for the future. Today, the economic of Laos can't support the organization fee for the biggest event such as ASIAD or Olympic.

Hosting the Olympic is a losing business adventure (in dollars and sense! (even for organizing the small event like SEA games. look at how Thailand did an half-azz job in the last time they hosted

Rome is not built one day. Laos has been being developed for 34 years but a lot of things are moving fast. Unlike, other countries have been being developed for many many years . How can they compare Laos? We have to go step by step. Don't worry! Olympic is waiting for Laos to be the host one day like the Sea Games. We never thought that we would be the host before. Therefore, don't look down Laos!!!!!!!!!!!

When you were being born and you could walk, speak, smile, or answer this question?No!!! You have to go step by step. Do you know what is going to be in the future? Are you the fortune teller? Many countries want to help Laos about the Sea Games. Laos never beg and ask for that thing. If you are not Lao, you can say but if you are Lao, please dont look down the country.

From my point of view, dont think so for currently unless Lao send their technical officer/sport federation to gain more exposure with experience. Good luck. May this SEA Games will be successful

I'm not looking down Laos. but seagames and Olympic is defferent.

its not about you, but its depend on the other countries and the "olympic committee" , if they let you organize olympic games or not.

even japan, they want to host the olympic games very much. so they sent their Minister to thailand to ask for vote support japan to organize the next olympic games.

In ASEAN Thailand , Malaysia , Vietnam , all of these countries also have potential, We "can" organize Olympic games but we don't have a chance yet.

Many countries want to host Olympic games , but Olympic held every 4 years

The poblem is "who first?"
