Do you support Smoke-Free SEA GAMES in Laos?

I personally think it is a good idea to set up a smoke free area during the SEA Games, especially at the stadium, and important places.

But I don't agree to fully ban and we need to provide the certain space for visitors to smoke, with proper signs and location.

Remember, some guests are smokers, and if they can not smoke in Laos, they will not want to stay in our country.

I strongly agree on that, I think it is win-win situations, for smokers and none-smokers

We should consider on Health issue not discriminate smokers.

I think this should not be only SEA GAMES, how about after SEA GAMES, will Lao people have to breath with nicotine again?

Well, Lao Beer has more social responsibilities than cigarette e..g "A"... As we have seen Beer Lao support variouse social events such as Boat racing and even SEA GAMES. And what is the cigarette is doing?.

Good point - however the health issues are not the same. You cannot smoke responsibly in a crowd... there is no such thing as a safe amount of second hand smoke. People who do not want the negative health impacts of tobacco use have the right to clean air. Children especially should be protected from the harmful effects of tobacco.

However I believe that if people drink, they should do it responsibly and in a way that does not negatively affect any other person especially the dangers of driving while drunk.

This is great idea. Athletes do not smoke if they want be best in sport! They are example to children. Adults should promote smoke free to theirs children to keep them in good health.

Many countries now have smoke free public places as law. Visitors will not be surprised by these law. They will be impressed that Lao Government is responsible to it citizens and protects them from the harmful drug (tobacco).
